A Shopping Checklist
It’s official! Fall is in our midsts. Now, for the late bloomers among us, work, and other obligations may have distracted us from the objective of shopping in preparation for the colder days ahead. Or perhaps the bevy of fall trends the high street is offering up this season is far too enticing, and we can’t begin to decipher which items need fill our wardrobe.

When in doubt, a wardrobe evaluation is a good place to start. Look at what you already own. Is there anything missing? A classic little black dress? A tailored blazer? Prim and proper trousers? Despite the plethora of available trends this season, always start with essentials given that these pieces will never go out of style. Once you’ve evaluated which basics you need to stock up on, take a second look, and see how you can integrate some of fall’s trends into your existing collection of garments. Do you wish to try to incorporate more color into your wardrobe? Or perhaps you would like to wear bolder prints?
Montreal-based style coach Monica De Liz recommends making a shopping list much like you would make a grocery list before heading out to the shops. This will keep you on track and avoid you from making impulse purchases. But of course, once you’ve marked everything off you list, have a little fun, and treat yourself to a little something extra for all the hard work you’ve put in. You deserve it!
Happy shopping!
