Fashion, turn to the left, turn to the right, oh fashion….
I’m always watching what designers are up to intrigued by their inspirations, colours, fabrics, prints and silhouettes.
Here’s a very brief round up (I could ramble on for hours so shall do my very best to keep it sweet!) of my absolute favourite picks from the resort 2012 catwalk shows. O.K here goes in no particular order:
1. marc by marc jacobs- for those that know me this goes without saying. Marc Jacobs is one of those designers that comes up with something and I just think YEAH, obvs, he always hits the proverbial nail on the head. This years resort collection was no exception, bold reds sat alongside polka dots and some tropical prints thrown in for good measure. He’s also showing my personal favourite one colour ensemble look, head to toe in bold red, yes please.
2. moschino cheap & chic- a divine collection of photographic shift dresses, 40′s esque tea dresses and pretty spot dobby blouses in bright corals and staple floral skirts & Marilyn Monroe style beige mac jackets. An undeniable selection of wardrobe essentials.
-3. miu miu- I know you’re probably getting slightly tired of me banging on about this collection, but seriously, even the photos are incred (just abrevin’ again FYI) love the bold coloured blouses with black bows and tailored jackets and contrast collars although must confess I’m still not a convert to a bubble skirt…I fear I may end up looking like a telly tubby, I’m too short to pull them off.
4. YSL- Argh LOVE LOVE LOVE the poppy blue print playsuit! love the nod to nautical with the classic belted sailor jacket and the 40′s ditsy floral dress oh and did I mention that sharp military red coat. BOOM WINNING
5. Alice + Olivia- I’m enjoying wearing floaty midi skirts, and I love the white one shown above worn with the black tee, I have the perfect black & white stripe wide rim floppy hat that would go with this get up. Oh and of course single colour dressing especially in pink is always strong.
